(responding to your question) I truly don't know anything about the new movie. I am and always was a big fan of Lynda Carter playing that role, and actively imagine her having to make topless, nude,or bottomless variations of scripts she had to follow, with coordinated BDSM-oriented variations of plot details to go along with it.
